Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating curtain sider lorries across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, across designated routes.
- Conduct pre-journey safety checks on the vehicle and report any issues promptly.
- Load and secure cargo appropriately, ensuring safe transportation of goods.
- Deliver goods to clients in a timely manner, maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during operations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the vehicle throughout shifts.
- Report any incidents or accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record.
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of road safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to operate flatbed equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and cargo handling.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues.
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
