Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester to join our reputable automotive service centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety standards through MOT testing. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using specialised equipment to identify faults accurately.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs and adjustments.
- Carry out MOT testing in accordance with legal requirements, ensuring vehicles meet safety and environmental standards.
- Assist in the inspection of vehicles to identify potential issues before they develop into major problems.
- Maintain detailed records of all work carried out, including parts used and repairs performed.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist colleagues as needed to ensure smooth workshop operations and high customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with a solid understanding of automotive systems.
- Valid MOT tester qualification recognised by the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency).
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment essential for vehicle repair work.
- Knowledge of current automotive repair techniques and safety standards.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or components.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Previous experience working in a busy workshop environment is desirable but not essential for highly motivated candidates eager to learn.

Pay: £29,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
