Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate person to join our small kitchen team. The ideal candidate will ideally have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in busy kitchen environments. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in the development of new menu items and seasonal specials
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy periods
- Serve dishes to guests when required, providing excellent customer service
- Follow all health and safety procedures to minimise risks within the kitchen environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Previous experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare a diverse range of dishes
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and evenings if required
- A genuine passion for food and delivering exceptional dining experiences
