Responsibilities
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure high standards of service and quality.
- Supervise and motivate front-of-house and kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Support food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, presentation, and timing to optimise service efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
- Assist in organising staff schedules, training programmes, and performance appraisals.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste.
- Support the implementation of new menu items and promotional activities.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
- Extensive restaurant experience, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality operations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
- Culinary experience or background in kitchen operations is highly desirable.
- Previous hotel or barista experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Strong leadership qualities combined with a customer-focused approach.
