We are a growing community pharmacy committed to providing safe, accessible and high-quality pharmacy services to people in our local community.
We are looking for a friendly, confident and professional Community Outreach & Patient Recruitment Representative to join our team and help us raise awareness of our pharmacy and the services available to local residents.
The Role
This is a community-based, door-to-door outreach role in Sheffield.
You will visit local residential areas, introduce residents to our pharmacy and provide clear and accurate information about the services we offer.
You will support people who are interested in using or registering with our pharmacy. This is a non-clinical role, and you will not be expected to provide medical or clinical advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit local residential areas across Sheffield and engage respectfully with residents.
- Introduce our pharmacy and explain the services we provide.
- Provide accurate and approved information about our pharmacy services.
- Support residents who voluntarily wish to register with or use our pharmacy.
- Follow the pharmacy's approved registration and outreach procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and protect personal information.
- Follow all company policies relating to data protection, safeguarding and confidentiality.
- Record outreach activity accurately in accordance with company procedures.
- Refer clinical, medication-related or healthcare questions to an appropriate member of the pharmacy team.
- Report any concerns, complaints or safeguarding issues to management.
- Represent the pharmacy professionally at all times.
Patient-Centred Approach
The welfare and interests of patients must always come first.
You must never pressure, mislead or unfairly influence anyone into registering with or using our pharmacy.
Residents must be given clear and accurate information and must be free to make their own decision.
You must respect anyone who does not wish to engage with the pharmacy.
This Is a Non-Clinical Role
The successful applicant must not:
- Provide clinical or medical advice.
- Diagnose medical conditions.
- Recommend medicines or treatments.
- Make clinical decisions on behalf of patients.
- Give advice outside their training and role.
Any clinical or medication-related questions must be referred to an appropriately qualified member of the pharmacy team.

Full training will be provided, including:
- Patient confidentiality
- Data protection and information governance
- Consent
- Safeguarding
- Professional boundaries
- Pharmacy procedures
- Appropriate patient engagement
- Handling complaints and concerns
- When and how to escalate matters to the pharmacy team
About You

Previous experience in sales, customer service, community outreach, field marketing or healthcare is desirable but not essential.
Full training will be provided.
Hours & Contract
This position is offered on a zero-hours contract.
There are no guaranteed minimum hours under the contract.
Where work is available, shifts will generally be offered for up to 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday, subject to business requirements and mutual agreement.
The role will initially be reviewed after one month. The review will consider performance, attendance, professionalism, compliance with procedures, quality of patient engagement and suitability for the role.
Pay
£14.00 per hour
