About the Role
Clinchplain Foam and Fibre are looking for an experienced Bandknife Operative to join our production team on a temporary contract, working 4 days per week. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a good eye for detail and a solid understanding of foam/fibre cutting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the bandknife machine safely and accurately to cut foam/fibre to specification
- Read and interpret job sheets/cutting instructions
- Check finished cuts for accuracy, quality, and consistency
- Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance on the machine
- Report any faults, damage, or quality issues promptly
- Maintain a clean and safe working area in line with health and safety procedures
- Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience operating a bandknife machine
- Experience working within a foam, fibre, or textile manufacturing environment
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Hours & Contract
- 4 days per week (Monday - Thursday)
- Temporary contract – Initial 3-month contract
