Pay: £10.85 - £12.17 per hour
Hours: 4-8 hours per week, with opportunities for more per week depending on holiday cover and business needs. Typical evening shifts are 5-9pm - typical morning shifts are 9-1pm.
Availability Required:
- Weekend evening shifts (some daytimes required)
- Some weekday evening shifts
- Flexibility to provide holiday and sickness cover when required
- Monthly rota provided in advance
Minimum Age: 18+ (due to alcohol service, lone working responsibilities, and opening/closing duties)
About Us
Need Golf is a family run driving range dedicated to providing a friendly, welcoming, and community focused environment for golfers of all ages and abilities. Open seven days a week from 9am–9pm, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a high quality facility for our customers.
We are looking for a confident, reliable, and hard-working Leisure & Hospitality Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with customers, can work independently, and is willing to take ownership of their responsibilities.
The Role
This is a customer facing role that requires the successful candidate to work independently for significant periods of their shift. Depending on the rota, you will be responsible for either opening or closing the facility safely and securely.
The role involves a variety of responsibilities and requires someone who can confidently multitask, remain organised during busy periods, and consistently deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide a friendly, professional experience
- Work independently within our golf shop and clubhouse
- Prepare and serve light food items, including toasties and snacks
- Prepare and serve hot drinks and alcoholic beverages
- Operate the till and accurately handle cash and card payments
- Promote and sell golfing equipment and shop products
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the shop, clubhouse, kitchen, and driving range areas
- Complete daily cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and company procedures
- Open or close the facility safely and securely, depending on your shift
- Manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining excellent customer service
