Hi therewe’re Wild. We’re on a mission to remove single-use plastic from the bathroom, armed with our refillable, natural and scent-sational deodorants, body wash, and lip balm – and we’re only just getting started. We launched in 2020 and as a high-growth company we’re already one of Europe’s fastest growing start-ups So, fancy coming along for the ride?
Are you the person in your friend group who makes a colour-coded, minute-by-minute itinerary for a casual weekend trip? Do you get the buzz when a mess suddenly snaps into a perfectly organised spreadsheet? If you are a hyper-organised, fire-fighting and operational person who loves to "fix" things, then this is the role for you!
As our Senior Operations Manager, you will own how Wild's products reach our customers – across DTC and retail. You will form part of the team that owns our 3PL relationships, with direct ownership of one of our key partners, ensuring orders flow smoothly from warehouse to doorstep and from warehouse to retailer, at the right cost and the right service level.
This is a hands-on operational role with real impact and accountability to deliver results. You will be expected to find, build and deliver your own margin wins and implement strategies to improve customer experience – identifying COGS savings across fulfilment, freight and warehousing, sizing the prize, and project managing the change through to a measurable P&L impact. Nobody will hand you a roadmap; you will write it.
Own end-to-end order fulfilment across our DTC, Amazon and retail channels, monitoring and holding partners to service KPIs.
Ensure retail orders are fulfilled to exacting wholesaler requirements, protecting on-time-in-full performance.
Form part of the team that owns our 3PL relationships, with day-to-day and commercial ownership of one of our key partners.
Act as the escalation point when things go wrong, resolving issues at pace and re-engineering the process.
Continuously benchmark our fulfilment network, recommending changes to footprint, partners or terms where there is margin to gain.
Identify, quantify and own a pipeline of cost-saving and margin opportunities across fulfilment, freight, packaging and warehousing - working closely with our finance team.
Project manage complicated, cross-business initiatives end-to-end – new market launches, 3PL migrations, network changes, systems integrations – owning the plan, the stakeholders and the outcome.
Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial and Customer Service, acting as the connective tissue between strategy and physical execution.
Lead and develop the operations team from day one, fostering a culture of ownership, pace and data-driven decision-making.
Build scalable processes and ways of working so the function grows ahead of the business, not behind it.
5 years of operations experience in an e-commerce business that operates across our DTC, Amazon and Retail channels (ideally an FMCG scale up), with warehouse and logistics experience as the main area of expertise (preferably with experience in the UK market)
Strong grasp of e-commerce ops tech infrastructure, including ERPs, WMSs, Shopify
Proficient in handling large, intricate datasets, including expert skills in Excel/Google Sheets
Proven track record of success in optimising operations, driving efficiency improvements, and managing complex cross-functional projects
Great attention to detail, and a constant drive to improve the status quo
Self-starter who is as happy head down in a spreadsheet as talking to external partners
You have a growth mindset and are naturally intellectually curious - always excited to learn and improve, and willing to run at problems and relish the opportunity to solve them
Negotiation: Strong communication and negotiation skills to ensure our partners hit the high standards we aspire to deliver for our customers
Impact: You will be a key player in a mission-driven company that is removing millions of tonnes of single-use plastic from the planet.
Ownership: We hire the best and give them the autonomy to build. You will own the fulfilment and operations roadmap from day one.
Growth: We are scaling at pace. Your career trajectory here is limited only by your own ambition.
