Job Description
Working as part of the Finance team, this role is to ensure the accurate recording of payroll and staff costs. You will be fully accountable for processing payroll and pension information, recording timesheet information and management of any queries.
Objectives

Respond to Agency contact / contractor queries
-
Maintain and produce monthly payroll for Griffon Marine Limited,
-
Calculation of Salaries and pensions including exceptions (SSP, SMP, SPP etc)
-
Ensuring starters and leavers are correctly dealt with in the payroll system.

Timely distribution of payslips

Preparation of information to enable timely payment of PAYE/NIC
-
Ensuring monthly RTI is submitted to HMRC on time
-
Assessing workforce monthly to identify Auto-Enrolment changes; postponements, opt-ins and opt-outs to bedealt with within the specified deadlines

Maintaining and updating employee details on the pension providers website

Ensuring information is presented to make payments in time

Provide monthly KPI information to Finance Team

Providing Job costing sheet for month end processing

Upkeep of computerised payrolls for internal company changes and external updates (in conjunction with IT)

Responding to employee queries about payroll
-
Preparation of employers year end returns and P11D

Review of weekly timesheet reporting & supporting other departments in ensuring all timesheets are completed & approved in a timely and accurate fashion

Creation and submission of Agency Staff hours to relevant agencies within agreed timescales

Excellent communication skills

Able to use payroll software and train others where necessary

Record keeping being maintained to a high standard

Be able to absorb a variety of instructions independently and execute these promptly and successfully
Desirable

Experience of EPICOR or other ERP System

Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills

Studying towards or hold a payroll qualification
