Oakland Lodge Day Nursery is a warm, independent early years setting nestled in the rural village of Eye on the beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk border. Set within a characterful converted barn complex, we provide high-quality care and education for children aged 6 months to 4 years in a calm, nurturing environment where children, families and staff are valued.

THE ROLE
We're looking for an enthusiastic and caring Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team on a permanent basis, working 4 or 5 mornings per week (8:00am–1:30pm), all year round.
You'll play an important role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing, helping to create a nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued and inspired to learn.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing high-quality care and education for children aged 6 months to 4 years.
- Creating a safe, stimulating and engaging learning environment.
- Working alongside our Curriculum Co-ordinator to deliver an inspiring curriculum.
- Planning and leading activities in line with the EYFS and Characteristics of Effective Learning.
- Observing, assessing and recording children's learning and next steps.
- Supporting every child's individual needs and promoting inclusion.
- Building positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
- Contributing ideas to continually enhance our learning environments and practice.
- Supporting children's daily routines, including play, mealtimes and rest periods.
- Working collaboratively as part of a dedicated and supportive team.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (essential).
- Experience working in an early years setting.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive, proactive attitude with a passion for early years education.
- Someone who enjoys working collaboratively and brings enthusiasm and creativity to the role.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
