About the Role
This is more than just a job! It’s an opportunity to make a real difference in a young person’s life.
We are looking for caring, positive, and motivated adults to join our Children’s Home, caring for two loving young people. As a Senior/Residential Support Worker, you will help create a home where young people feel safe, supported, and valued.
Our aim is to give children and young people a childhood they can look back on positively. One filled with stability, care, fun, and meaningful experiences.
No two days are the same. One day you might be helping with homework or cooking a meal together, and the next you could be out on an activity or supporting a young person through a difficult moment. Every day is about building trust, relationships, and helping young people grow.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting young people with daily routines, including mornings, education, and bedtime
- Encouraging hobbies, friendships, and trying new experiences
- Creating a warm, safe, and homely environment
- Being a positive role model and building trusting relationships
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and helping young people develop life skills
- Updating care plans, risk assessments, and daily records
- Attending meetings in line with the young person’s needs
- Working as part of a supportive team of adults within the home
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people
- A genuine passion for helping young people feel safe and achieve their potential
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (preferred, or willingness to work towards)
- Full UK driving licence
- IT skills
- A team player who is patient, understanding, and able to build positive relationships
What You’ll Get in Return
- £13.00 – £15.00 per hour, plus additional sleep-in payments (£60)
- Generous annual leave and workplace pension
- Flexible working patterns, including weekends
- A full and supportive induction programme (face-to-face, online, and within the home)
- Opportunity to complete the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare
- Opportunity to progress onto the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management
- Ongoing support from a dedicated and approachable management team
- Opportunities to develop and progress within a growing organisation
Why Join Us?
We are creating a home where young people feel cared for, listened to, and understood and where adults feel supported, valued, and part of a team.
