Interim Assistant Headteacher
An independent, caring specialist school in Long Eaton, part of a well-established national education group, are seeking an Interim Assistant Headteacher to join them on a long-term contractual basis.
As Interim Assistant Headteacher, you will integrate effectively into a supportive team of experienced SEND/SEMH professionals, hitting the ground running straight away within existing school systems.
This is a chance to make a real difference to the lives of SEND and SEMH pupils with a range of complex needs, supporting all students and other staff members to thrive in this caring environment.
The opportunity:
- Provision catering to 40 pupils aged 5-19 years with complex SEMH and mixed SEND needs
- Tailored learning pathways and personalised education curriculums to meet individual needs
- They’re seeking a dedicated Interim Assistant Headteacher to join their SLT
- Supporting Curriculum Development and providing day-to-day operational school leadership support
- Located in South Nottingham, with on-site parking and excellent transport links
- Daily rate: £250-300
Character specification:
- Previous experience in a school leadership position within a SEND/SEMH environment
- Confident to make decisions in a fast-changing, varied environment
- Experienced leading curriculum, T&L, QofE etc.
- Calm, assertive, with the ability to effectively initiate school strategy under the influence of the other Senior Leaders
- Hit the ground running from day one, within existing school systems and processes
