The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Part-Time HR Manager 16 - 20 hours per week, to support our growing team of around 90 employees. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being at the heart of a business and supporting managers and employees with practical, professional HR guidance.
You will be a trusted point of contact, helping us maintain strong HR processes while supporting the business as we expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding
- Supporting and advising managers on employee relations, including:
- Disciplinary and grievance processes
- Absence management and return-to-work meetings
- Performance management and conduct issues
- Attending meetings and producing accurate notes/minutes where required
- Updating and maintaining company policies, procedures and HR documentation
- Ensuring compliance with UK employment law and HR best practice
- Maintaining accurate employee records and supporting HR administration
- Providing clear, confident advice to employees and managers on HR queries
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role (HR Advisor / HR Manager level)
- Confident advising managers and handling employee relations issues
- Strong understanding of UK employment law
- Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail
- Professional, discreet and able to handle sensitive matters confidentially
- Comfortable working independently in a growing business environment
Desirable:
- CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 (or working towards)
- Experience in a standalone HR role
- Experience supporting a business of 50+ employees
