Food Manufacturing Tutor – Apprenticeship Delivery
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Food Manufacturing Tutor to join our team and deliver high-quality training and assessment against Food Manufacturing apprenticeship standards.
You will support apprentices to develop the practical skills, knowledge and behaviours they need to succeed in the food manufacturing industry and achieve their apprenticeship.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching, training and assessment to food manufacturing apprentices.
- Deliver learning against relevant Food Manufacturing apprenticeship standards.
- Develop apprentices’ technical knowledge, practical skills and workplace behaviours.
- Plan and deliver classroom, workshop and/or workplace-based learning.
- Carry out assessments, provide constructive feedback and monitor learner progress.
- Support apprentices in preparing for end-point assessment.
- Maintain accurate learner records and evidence of progress.
- Work closely with employers and colleagues to ensure training meets industry and apprenticeship requirements.
- Promote high standards of food safety, quality, health and safety and professional practice.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- Strong practical and technical experience within food manufacturing.
- A good understanding of food production processes, quality, hygiene and food safety.
- Ideally experience of training, coaching, mentoring or assessing apprentices or employees.
- An understanding of apprenticeship standards and workplace-based learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to engage learners from a range of backgrounds and abilities.
- A professional, organised and supportive approach.
Teaching, assessing or vocational qualifications are desirable, although relevant industry expertise and a strong track record of developing others will also be considered.
