Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Cook to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts, looking to contribute to a welcoming environment. Duties
- Prepare a variety of meals in accordance with recipes and organisational standards
- Assist in the planning and organisation of daily meal services
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Cook and assemble dishes efficiently during busy service times
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing up and sanitising surfaces
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
- Serve meals to customers or clients in a courteous and professional manner
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a commercial kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak times
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including some weekends if required
- A positive attitude, team-oriented approach, and strong work ethic
- Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary skills
