Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated commercial Vehicle Body Builder / Welder / Fabricator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to work effectively with both hand and power tools. This role is essential in producing high-quality metal components and assemblies, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication and assembly of commercial vehicle bodies to specification
- MIG welding of steel, aluminium, and other materials
- Cutting, shaping, and fitting panels and framework
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and build plans
- Operating fabrication repairs and modifications on existing vehicle bodies
- To carry out the fitting and installation of Hydraulic equipment, such as Hydraulic wet kits, Hook and Skip Loaders.
- To carry out the Welding and Fabrication of Commercial vehicles, such as Recovery Equipment, Skip Bodies and Bespoke customer requirements.
- The use of Hand tools and welding and fabrication are essential.
- Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure quality control standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication or welding process.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in welding, fabrication, or commercial body building.
- Competence in MIG welding (Qualifications advantageous).
- Ability to work from technical drawings with attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive work ethic.
- Basic math skills are necessary for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
- Understanding of workshop safety procedures
- Full UK driving licence (Preferred)
