Job Summary
We are seeking a pair of dedicated Solar Roofers (Commercial) to join our team in based in Tamworth. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial solar roofing systems. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, electrical systems, and mechanical components, with an emphasis on safety and quality workmanship. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in roofing and electrical work to contribute to sustainable energy projects.
The rate of pay would be project dependant with prices varying between £24-£30 per panel. A well estabilish team of 2-3 would be the ideal candidates for this role.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial solar roofing systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Operate IPAFs to safely lift equipment when required.
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete roofing tasks.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with electrical teams to ensure proper integration of solar systems with existing electrical infrastructure.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience with roofing installation or repair within the solar energy sector.
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with electrical systems are highly desirable.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing and electrical work.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to roofing, electrical work, and heavy machinery operation.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely.
