Experienced Residential Support Worker£31,500 + sleep-ins | £35,820 annual earnings | £2,800 joining fee
We are looking for an experienced Residential Support Worker to join an established children's residential service.
This is an opportunity for someone with proven experience working in children's residential care, who is confident supporting young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
The role
You will provide high-quality, child-centred care and support, helping young people feel safe, develop their independence and achieve positive outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day care and support
- Building positive relationships with young people
- Supporting complex needs and challenging behaviours
- Following care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
- Supporting activities, appointments and daily routines
- Maintaining accurate records and working as part of a team
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous children's residential care experience – essential
- Experience supporting complex needs and challenging behaviours
- Full UK driving licence – essential
- Strong safeguarding knowledge
- A patient, resilient and consistent approach
- Ideally, a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent
This is not an entry-level position. Candidates without children's residential experience will not be considered.
Package
- £31,500 basic salary
- 6 sleep-ins per month at £60 each
- £35,820 annual earnings including regular sleep-ins
- £2,800 joining fee
- 5 weeks' annual leave + bank holidays
