Background
The practice has been established for 35 years and is located in the market town of Coleford situated within the beautiful Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using advanced imaging technology to assist in diagnosis.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health.
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment notes, imaging results, and health histories.
- Monitor patient comfort during procedures, providing reassurance and explaining procedures clearly.
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the oral cavity to accurately assess patient needs.
- Proficiency with dental CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for digital impressions or restorations is a plus.
- Experience with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry enhances diagnostic accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to interpret dental radiographs and identify potential issues requiring further attention.
- Knowledge of current infection control standards and sterilization procedures.
- Basic understanding of anatomy, radiography, and dental imaging technology to support comprehensive patient care.

Pay: £37.28-£52.46 per hour
