Guest Experience Assistant
BattleKart Sheffield is an immersive gaming experience that combines electric karting and video games to create a completely unique form of interactive entertainment.
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable team members to help deliver high-energy experiences for families, groups, parties and corporate events.
This is not a typical retail or hospitality role. One moment you could be briefing a corporate team event, the next launching players into an immersive competitive gaming experience unlike anything else.
The role is hands-on and fast-paced, involving guest interaction, live session operation, safety briefing delivery and maintaining high presentation standards across the venue.
We are looking for energetic people who are confident speaking to groups, enjoy working with customers and can remain calm in a live entertainment environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and check in guests
- Deliver safety briefings and explain gameplay rules
- Operate BattleKart game sessions
- Monitor gameplay and assist guests where required
- Support drinks and snack sales
- Maintain venue cleanliness and presentation standards
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Help create a positive and memorable guest experience
Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable speaking to groups
- Comfortable using technology and learning new systems
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to work flexible shifts across the week, with essential weekend and holiday availability
- Hospitality, leisure, retail or customer service experience preferred
Additional skills or experience that would be particularly valuable include:
- Social media, design or marketing experience
- Engineering or technical troubleshooting experience
- Corporate events or hospitality experience
- Gaming or immersive entertainment knowledge
- Bar or food service experience
This role would suit somebody who enjoys working in entertainment, hospitality or leisure and is looking to be part of a growing immersive experience venue.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
