Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Painter & Decorator required for a high-end project starting end of July for a period of 6-8 weeks, possibly more.
You will need considerable experience in completing high end finishes for both interiors and exteriors, specifically painting original sash windows to a very high standard. The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail, a good knowledge of various paint systems, and proven ability to achieve finishes of the highest standard (you may be asked to provide examples of your work).
You must be reliable, hardworking, friendly, and work well within a team when it is required.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes to various surfaces including walls, ceilings, woodwork, and exteriors
- Protect surrounding areas during work and maintain a clean work environment
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress or any issues encountered
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in high end painting & decorating
- Able to provide your own tools & equipment
- Valid driving licence and your own transport
- Fluency in English with strong communication skills for liaising with clients and colleagues
- Ability to interpret instructions accurately
- A professional attitude with attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality finishes
