Job Overview
We are seeking a multi skilled and reliable Maintenance person to join our team as soon as possible on a 24 hour per week basis - contractor and permanent recruit considered.
The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance and repair skills including repairing and painting old wooden windows, replacing guttering, plumbing and gardening to name but a few!. This role requires a proactive attitude, excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Perform general/maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and other structures.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify issues that require attention.
- Carry out plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing fixtures.
- Handle electrical repairs including changing light bulbs, replacing switches, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues.
- Assemble furniture and equipment as needed.
- Paint walls and touch up surfaces to maintain aesthetic appeal.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from clients or management.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all tasks.

Experience
- Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general maintenance practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- A valid driving licence is an advantage for travel between job sites.
- Certification in relevant trades (e.g., plumbing or electrical) is a plus but not mandatory.
