We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper Supervisor to lead a small team of existing Housekeepers. The ideal candidate will be crucial in overseeing and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in multiple nursery environments across Hemel Hempstead and Kings Langley, ensuring that all areas of a high cleaning standard. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with both team members and customers.
The working hours are Monday - Friday - 8 am - 5pm (can be flexible).
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Manage rotas for a small team of housekeepers to ensure all nurseries receive the same attention to detail.
- Oversight on cleanliness standards
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, and surfaces.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Drive to various locations as required for cleaning assignments. For this reason, it is desirable for the candidate to be over age 30 for insurance purposes and to drive company vehicles.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in spoken and written English to facilitate clear communication.
- Previous experience in a cleaning role is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for roles requiring travel between locations.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Full training will be given.
Up to 40 hours per week, can be discussed at interview.
