Front of House Team Member – The Lamb, Buckland
We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Front of House team member to join our small team at The Lamb, an independent food-led country pub in Buckland.
Hours & Shifts
Around 4 shifts per week, typically:
- Wednesday–Friday – mostly evening shifts, with occasional lunchtime work
- One Saturday or Sunday shift each week
- Additional shifts may be available for holiday cover and busy periods
We’re looking for someone with regular availability across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as well as one weekend day.
Pay
National Minimum Wage + service charge
Service charge typically adds around £3–£5 per hour to your pay.
The Role
You’ll be involved in all aspects of front of house, including:
- Taking food and drink orders
- Serving tables and running food
- Bar service and pouring drinks
- Providing friendly, attentive customer service
- Keeping the bar and restaurant clean and organised
- Occasionally managing quieter periods independently
About You
Previous hospitality or customer-facing experience is preferred. More importantly, we’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly and confident with customers
- Reliable and comfortable working as part of a small team
- Able to work independently when required
- Comfortable in a busy food-led pub environment
- 18+ due to alcohol service and occasional independent working
Bar, coffee, wine or cocktail experience would be useful but isn’t essential.

Due to our countryside location and evening finishing times, applicants should be able to reliably travel to and from Buckland.
