DUCTWORK CLEANING OPERATIVE

Typical Working Hours: 23:00 – 07:00
Working Pattern: Monday evening to Saturday morning, with regular overnight stays away from home
THE ROLE
We are looking for reliable, hardworking and motivated Ductwork Cleaning Operatives to join our growing team.
We provide specialist kitchen deep cleaning, kitchen extraction system cleaning and food hygiene services to commercial and industrial kitchens across the UK. Our clients include restaurants, hotels, casinos and a wide range of other commercial premises.
With more than 30 years' experience, we have established a strong reputation for delivering high-quality cleaning and hygiene services. Due to continued growth, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to maintaining our high standards.
This is a hands-on and physically demanding role, and the successful candidate must be comfortable working nights, travelling throughout the UK and staying away from home during the working week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Ductwork Cleaning Operative, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out specialist kitchen extraction and ductwork cleaning in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensuring all extraction system cleaning work completed by you and your team meets the required TR19 standards.
- Following the job schedule and instructions provided for each site.
- Working safely and following all company health & safety procedures, risk assessments and method statements.
- Working at height and, where required, in confined spaces.
- Using cleaning equipment, tools and chemicals safely and correctly.
- Working as part of a team to complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Logging into the customer's site system before work commences and logging out on completion, where required.
- Completing job documentation accurately.
- Obtaining the customer's signature on the relevant worksheet following completion of the work.
- Completing a full job report using the company's online portal.
- Taking and uploading appropriate before-and-after photographs as part of the job report.
- Reporting any issues, defects or concerns identified during the cleaning process to the appropriate manager.
- Representing the company professionally when working at customer premises.
- Providing a high standard of customer service at all times.

- Able to use a smartphone or tablet for completing reports and uploading photographs.

- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
EXPERIENCE & LICENCE
Essential
- A positive and reliable attitude.
- Willingness to work nights and travel.
- Ability to undertake physically demanding work.

- Good communication skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience in ductwork, kitchen extraction, deep cleaning or industrial/commercial cleaning.
- Experience working at height.
- Experience working in confined spaces.
- Knowledge of TR19 standards.
- Previous experience working in commercial kitchens or hospitality environments.
- Full clean UK/EU driving licence.
A driving licence is preferred but is not essential.
Full training may be provided to the right candidate, depending on experience.
