We are looking for a skilled, experienced, organised and dedicated Head Chef to join our busy, functioning Restaurant at Ullswater Heights Holiday Park.
The candidate will be expected to lead a kitchen in producing great costed food and GP's, look after all management of the HACCP in a timely and cost effective way.
You will be responsible for your team and expected to train and provide support; Reporting and answering to the Food and Beverage manager you would work together to produce the perfect service and helping to create an unrivalled experience for all our customers, bringing innovative ideas to the company. Together you will also strive to meet, and ideally surpass, service and financial targets set.

Ullswater Heights is over a 200 unit luxury lodge park and hosts a 100 seater indoor and outdoor restaurant. We are looking for someone to commit to high standards to create fantastic experiences for our holiday guests and holiday home owners.
Kitchen Duties:
· Overseeing the efficient running of the kitchen, ensuring you have adequate team in place each day to cover all aspects of your department
· Being in a hands-on role which requires attention to detail and a positive work attitude
· Ensuring food is prepped daily ready for service and team are equipped to deliver impeccable and well-presented meals
· Preparing meal orders, ensuring excellent presentation and standards are achieved consistently
· Check and approve all dishes prior to front of house team taking them
· Working tirelessly to produce quality meals in a timely manner, ensuring customers aren’t waiting long periods for their food
· Communicating with the bar & restaurant team, ensuring they are aware of any change to the menu and have the relevant information to deliver 5-star service
· Ensuring the upkeep of the kitchen, including stock rotation, deep cleans etc.
Financial Duties:
· Monitoring of stock control, ensuring sales are not hindered by lack of stock and GP’s are met by portion control
· Regularly examining the P&L accounts for your department, ensuring invoices are accurately allocated
· Maintaining and improving the targeted GP% for food
· Contributing towards sales performance
Management Duties:
· Managing a small team, including chefs & kitchen support staff to deliver quality meals consistently
· Working with suppliers to ensure the food ordered and delivered is high quality and in keeping with our 5-star ethos
· Having the availability to design, alter and create a menu aimed at our customer base in conjunction with the other parks chefs and offerings
· Producing team rotas and shift roles, ensuring the kitchen have adequate team to cope with demand, whilst staying within wage budgets
· Complying with all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations and using our company system PRIME Safety to log data relating to this
· Ensuring H&S and company procedures are enforced, and team are informed of these policies
· The upkeep of the kitchen, including stock rotation, deep cleans etc.
· Motivating and managing your team, ensuring they understand their role within the business and have the necessary tools to perform
· HR related procedures, such as recruitment, timesheets, performing appraisals etc.
· Developing your team’s skills, sharing knowledge and aiding them to increase their technical ability
· Holding regular team meetings, keeping your team informed of how the department is performing
· To actively seek verbal feedback from customers, and action both positive and constructive comments
· Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed
· Being responsible for the running of the Food & Beverage establishment, and all management duties, in the absence of the Food & Beverage Manager
· To complete any other duties requested of you by the management team
