Bubble Tea Barista – Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Bubble Tea Barista to join our energetic and customer-focused team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have a passion for customer service, and take pride in preparing high-quality drinks. Prior experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided. This is a paid position suited to individuals who enjoy working with people and delivering a fun, welcoming experience to every customer.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of bubble tea drinks, including milk teas, fruit teas, and specialty beverages, following company recipes and quality standards
- Cook and prepare toppings such as tapioca pearls and jellies, ensuring freshness and consistency
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately, recommending menu options, and responding to customer questions
- Operate the cash register and handle payments efficiently using basic maths skills
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety, including proper storage, handling, and cleanliness of ingredients
- Keep the workstation clean and organised, including regular sanitisation of equipment and surfaces
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a bubble tea shop, café, or customer service role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is an advantage
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Friendly, positive attitude with strong communication skills
- Basic maths skills for handling cash and processing transactions accurately
