Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of one of the most significant implementations in our current portfolio: a large-scale, multi-site rollout of our financial management and school fees management software for a major institutional customer in the education sector.
This is a fast-paced, high-profile programme delivered through a phased, pilot-then-wave approach, offering immediate ownership of a complex, multi-stakeholder delivery in order to meet critical end-of-life customer timeframes.
This is a contract/fixed term employment position with an immediate start and an initial duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
● Own end-to-end delivery governance for a large-scale, multi-site software implementation, from mobilisation through pilot, wave rollout, hypercare and transition to steady-state support.
● Lead a stage-gated delivery lifecycle.
● Chair and report into project governance forums, including a joint project board, managing escalation routes from workstream leads.
● Own weekly status reporting covering milestones, risks, issues, budget and decisions, and maintain the master delivery plan and critical path.
● Maintain a RAID log with clear ownership, mitigations and target dates, escalating appropriately.
● Coordinate a blended delivery team spanning technical, data migration, integration, testing, training and support functions located both locally in the UK and in Australia.
● Build and sustain strong senior stakeholder relationships on the customer side, and coordinate with third-party and managed service partners where relevant.
● Oversee data migration planning and onboarding across a substantial number of operational sites.
● Track commercial milestones against the agreed delivery and payment schedule.
● Run structured lessons-learned sessions and oversee knowledge transfer at each stage of delivery.

● Strong stakeholder management, governance and reporting skills, comfortable operating at the project board level.
● Experience managing contractual scope, RAID logs, change control processes and multi-workstream delivery teams across multiple time zones.
● Familiarity with financial systems, ERP, and/or Fee Management software implementations is an advantage.
● Formal project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile PM) desirable.
● Possession of HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard, or equivalent, as a minimum (Note if you do not currently hold these clearances, there will be a requirement to attain these upon commencement).Available for an immediate start.
WHY JOIN FURLONG
● Join a close-knit, independently run business with a 20+ year track record in the education sector.
● Real ownership and visible impact on a high-profile customer programme from day one.
