Creative Kidz Childcare Ltd is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Activity Leader / Playworker / Childcare Assistant to join our wraparound childcare team.
We are a family-run childcare provider with over 20 years' experience delivering high-quality childcare in schools. You'll be helping us provide a fantastic Breakfast and After School Club experience for children aged 4–11 years.
No childcare qualification or previous childcare experience is essential — we'll provide the training you need.
Hours
Monday to Friday– Term Time Only
- Breakfast Club: 7:20am – 8:50am
- After School Club: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
- Overtime opportunities available
The split-shift hours make this role particularly suitable for someone looking for work that fits around the school day, studies, family commitments or another part-time role.
Please note: Due to limited public transport, being a driver or living locally is preferred.
We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
What You'll Be Doing
No two sessions are exactly the same! You'll work alongside our childcare team to make sure children are safe, happy, engaged and having fun.
Your role will include:
- Leading and supporting a variety of activities including arts & crafts, sports, games and creative play
- Helping create a fun, caring, safe and inclusive environment
- Engaging with children and encouraging them to get involved
- Supporting children's confidence, friendships, independence and social development
- Encouraging teamwork, communication and positive behaviour
- Providing attentive supervision and ensuring children's safety and wellbeing
- Helping with breakfast and snack times
- Supporting routines and encouraging good manners and independence
- Working with colleagues to plan activities suitable for different ages and interests
- Following our safeguarding, health & safety and operational procedures
- Building positive relationships with children, colleagues, parents and carers
- Sharing relevant information with parents/carers and senior team members when appropriate
