Production Team Leader – PM Shift

Are you an experienced Production Team Leader or Supervisor looking for your next step within food manufacturing?
ISQ Recruitment is supporting an established food manufacturer near Stoke-on-Trent with the appointment of a Production Team Leader for its afternoon shift.
Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will lead the day-to-day production operation, ensuring the production plan is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage, support and develop your team while maintaining a clear focus on safety, quality, productivity, cost and delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Leading and coordinating daily production activities
- Ensuring production targets and customer requirements are achieved
- Managing team performance, attendance and development
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety, food safety and quality
- Monitoring KPIs and taking action where performance falls below target
- Identifying and implementing improvements across the production process
- Supporting operational change and communicating effectively with the wider management team
- Resolving production issues quickly and effectively
What we are looking for
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience within food manufacturing
- A proven record of managing teams and delivering production targets
- Confident leadership and people-management skills
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
- A quality-focused approach with strong attention to detail
- The ability to manage change and support continuous improvement
- Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Effective time management and the confidence to use your own initiative
- Comfortable working with production figures, KPIs and IT systems
