We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and adaptable Primary Trained Teacher to join our specialist Secondary SEN school. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with small class groups of up to 8 pupils, supporting young people aged 11–16 with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, communication difficulties, and associated learning needs.
As a Primary Trained Teacher, you will deliver a broad and engaging curriculum tailored to individual learning needs, helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally within a nurturing and structured environment.
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of learners.

Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

Develop personalised learning approaches that enable pupils to achieve their full potential.

Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families, and external professionals.

Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, adapting provision as required.

Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development through consistent and positive strategies.

Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews and target setting.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

A Primary teaching background with a passion for supporting learners with additional needs.

Experience working with children or young people with SEN, ASC, SEMH, or complex learning needs is desirable.
