Ballet Fusion Dance Teacher Vacancy & Acro Dance Teacher Vacancy – Lane’s Dance Academy
(Ideally the candidate can teach both subjects)
Start Date: Launch party of our new studio to include some taster classes beginning of September full classes to commence 2nd/3rd week into Sept
Lane’s Dance Academy is a growing, family-feel dance school, and we’re looking for a passionate, reliable, and nurturing teacher to join our team. We are currently home to approximately 150 children who attend multiple classes each week, and we pride ourselves on creating a supportive, encouraging environment where dancers build confidence as well as skills.
This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children, enjoys being part of a supportive team, and wants to grow with a school long term.
The Ideal Teacher Will Be:
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and genuinely love what they do
- Bring a fresh approach to Ballet to the school in working with the principals to collaborate on the concept of the Ballet Fusion brand.
- Passionate about creating routines for class awards (exams), shows, and public performances
- Confident in bringing 2 brand new dance styles to the dance school and bringing children up from scratch
- Patient with children — especially beginners — giving time and encouragement to all dancers, regardless of ability
- Focused on confidence building and promoting teamwork within classes
- Organised, with excellent timekeeping (our classes run back-to-back)
- Able to meet deadlines so students are well prepared for the opportunities they commit to

Availability Required
- Term-time early evenings
- Mondays (essential)
- Approx. 2 - 3 teaching hours per evening, with potential to increase as the school continues to grow
- We always pay a minimum of 2 hours for teaching work regardless of the hours required and top up from there.
Please Note
This role is not suitable for professional dancers actively auditioning or taking short-term performance contracts, as our families value consistency and long-term teachers for their children.
Dance Styles Required
Strong teaching ability in:
- Ballet
- Acro - or happy to take a qualification
- Additional dance styles a plus for cover work for other staff holidays would be an asset
Classes are creative and engaging, but always structured and progressive.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Dance qualifications welcome from all recognised awarding bodies
- DBS check (or willing to obtain)
- First Aid trained (or willing to obtain)
- Safeguarding training (or willing to obtain)
- Own dance teaching insurance (or willing to obtain)
- Clean driving licence with own car preferred (public transport is possible, but a car is an advantage)

Pay: Hourly rate discussed at interview, based on experience.
