Job Description:
Gleddoch, one of the most prestigious hotel, golf and spa resorts located close to Glasgow are looking for people to join our existing fabulous team.
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all hotel facilities, guest areas, back-of-house spaces, spa and golf are maintained to a high standard, supporting the overall guest experience and operational efficiency of the hotel.
This role leads the day-to-day maintenance function, ensuring reactive and planned maintenance tasks are completed effectively, safely, and in line with brand expectations. We are looking for somebody that is going to be proactive in identifying maintenance needs throughout the resort.
This is a hands-on role with an expectation of carrying out maintenance tasks, overseeing our maintenance assistant’s tasks on a daily basis and coordinate with outside contractors that are carrying out work within the hotel ensuring they adhere to site policies, safety standards, and agreed scope of work.
GENERAL
- Oversee and carry out maintenance and repair work across guest rooms, public areas and spa facilities
- Ensure all plant, equipment, and systems (including plumbing, electrical, and pool/spa systems) are fully operational
- Respond promptly to maintenance issues raised by departments, ensuring minimal disruption to guests
- Conduct regular inspections of the property and proactively address issues
- Work closely with the housekeeping team to ensure guest rooms and public areas are safe, clean, functional and well-maintained.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a structured preventative maintenance schedule
- Ensure statutory compliance checks (fire safety systems, water hygiene/Legionella control, electrical testing, etc.) are completed and recorded
- Monitor the condition of the building and plan for long-term repairs and upgrades
- Ensure full compliance with UK health & safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of risk assessments, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation
- Act as a key point of contact for audits and inspections
- Manage maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts inventory
