Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cafe Team Members to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting in the daily operations of our café. You will play a crucial part in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and members alike.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders, ensuring a friendly and inviting experience.
- Prepare food items according to our recipes and food safety guidelines, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods, while also being attentive to customer needs.
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide accurate information to customers.
- Assist with stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow in the café environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a food operation is preferred but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Strong time management skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with food safety standards is advantageous, as well as experience in food preparation within a kitchen setting.
- A positive attitude, willingness to help others, and ability to work well as part of a team are key attributes for this role.
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
