We are a growing architectural practice working across a varied portfolio of residential and commercial projects. We are looking for an experienced Architect to join our team and play an important role in the continued growth of the business.
This is a hands-on position for an Architect who enjoys being involved in projects from the initial client enquiry and concept stage through to planning, technical design and construction.
You’ll work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and our wider team to deliver well-considered, practical and commercially viable architectural solutions.
The Role
As an Architect at Moxey, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects across a range of RIBA work stages, including:
- Developing initial concepts and feasibility proposals.
- Preparing and submitting planning, listed building and statutory applications.
- Producing detailed architectural and technical drawings using ArchiCAD.
- Developing technical design information and construction packages.
- Working with current UK Building Regulations and relevant technical standards.
- Coordinating with structural engineers, consultants and contractors.
- Attending client meetings and developing strong client relationships.
- Supporting projects through construction and resolving technical queries as they arise.
- Taking responsibility for project delivery and ensuring designs are practical and buildable.
- Assisting with contract administration where appropriate.
Our projects cover residential and commercial developments, refurbishments, extensions and new-build schemes, giving you the opportunity to work across a varied and interesting workload.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced Architect who is confident working across multiple stages of a project and enjoys taking responsibility for their work.
You’ll ideally have:
- Part 3 qualification and ARB registration.
- Previous experience working within an architectural practice.
- Experience across residential and/or commercial projects.
- Experience with refurbishment, extensions and new-build projects.
- Strong planning and technical design experience.
- A good understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
- Experience coordinating consultants and contractors.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Contract administration experience would be advantageous.
