Wasing has a vacancy for full-time Chef to join our busy team, predominantly providing high end, fine dining for weddings and corporate events.
Up to £32,000-£40,000 depending on experience plus bonus (based on business targets).
Annualised hours contract based on 40 hours per week
Wasing Park is a stunning, award winning, exclusive use wedding and corporate venue set in the heart of the West Berkshire countryside. Renowned for its fine dining, rosette level culinary experiences, it uses the best of local and where possible Estate sourced produce. Wasing also prides itself in offering the most inspirational street style food from the outdoor kitchens, whether it’s on the Castle Barn terrace or set in the depths of our ancient woodland. With only one bespoke event a day, the dedicated team have full focus, give 100% attention to detail and produce the most magical and memorable events of a lifetime.

What we are looking for:
- Great attention to detail to ensure all plates of food are prepared and served to the highest of Wasing’s standards.
- Working in a calm and confident manner, during pressurised times.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent motivational and leadership skills are required.
- Excellent communication with the kitchen team, event managers, casual staff and sales team
- Energy and spirit are essential in the industry as required hours can be long on event days.
- Confident, welcoming, warm and personable; these attributes are paramount when working face to face with clients at the outdoor locations.
- A requirement to be flexible, hands on and muck in.
- Good and up to date knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations and Health and Safety, completing regular training through Flow Hospitality.
- Someone who is keen to progress within the hospitality industry.
Approximately 165 weddings and 40 corporate days.
