Responsibilities
- Safely operate reach trucks and other warehouse equipment to transport materials across the facility
- Load and unload shipments with precision, ensuring proper handling of goods
- Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track stock movements
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, verifying shipment contents against documentation
- Handle materials carefully, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and materials handling
- Support warehouse organisation by stacking, storing, and retrieving items efficiently
Requirements
- Proven experience operating reach trucks or similar forklift equipment in a warehouse environment
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory control
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and safety standards
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting regularly
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes within a warehouse setting is highly desirable
