Eagle Ward is seeking a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant who is keen to explore and develop their career in Renal.
Eagle Ward cares for patients with renal disease, including Acute, Chronic and End Stage Kidney Disease. We also undertake both live-related and Deceased Donor Renal Transplantation and care for patients requiring peritoneal dialysis.
As a Healthcare Assistant in our team, you will play an integral part in ensuring patients are provided with a healthy, safe and secure environment. With the support of the wider nursing team, you will have a mixture of daily duties some which will be supervised and some autonomous.
You will have the chance to develop and enhance your patient care skills through an established educational programme (including comprehensive specialist workbooks and a renal foundation course) which will enable you to provide a high standard of holistic family centred care to children, young people and their families.
With progression through training and experience you will also be involved in undertaking aspects of peritoneal and haemodialysis.
