Sales Consultant (Part-time) – St Albans City Centre
T.M. Lewin is opening a new store in St Albans in August 2026, and we’re looking for part-time Sales Consultants to join the team and be a key part of ongoing success of the store.
This is a customer-facing role at the heart of the store experience - welcoming customers, offering styling advice, and ensuring the shop floor reflects T.M. Lewin’s high standards. You’ll be joining the relaunch of an iconic British menswear brand, with opportunities to develop your skills in a supportive retail environment.
Hours are flexible, with opportunities on a part-time basis. Please indicate your availability as part of the application process.
The Role
As a Sales Consultant, you’ll deliver outstanding service on the shop floor, helping customers look and feel their best while supporting store performance and presentation.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Experience
- Deliver warm, professional service that reflects T.M. Lewin’s heritage brand values
- Provide personalised styling advice and product recommendations
- Handle customer queries, returns, and exchanges efficiently and professionally
Sales & Product Knowledge
- Work towards individual and team sales targets
- Build strong product knowledge across shirts, tailoring, fits, and fabrics (full training provided)
- Introduce customers to loyalty schemes and additional services
Visual Merchandising & Store Standards
- Maintain a clean, well-presented, and inviting shop floor
- Support seasonal changes, promotions, and visual updates
- Monitor stock levels and support availability of key lines
Store Operations
- Support day-to-day store routines, including opening and closing tasks as required
- Assist with deliveries, stockroom organisation, and stock counts
- Follow all company procedures, including health & safety guidelines
About You
- Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred (fashion or premium retail an advantage)
- Passionate about customer service, quality, and presentation
- Confident communicator with a positive, team-focused approach
- Reliable and flexible to work across weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Takes pride in delivering high standards
Pay & Benefits
- £13.45 per hour (UK Real Living Wage)
- Monthly performance-related commission
- 28 days’ holiday (including bank holidays, pro rata)
