A Band 4 Support Time Recovery Worker position has arisen in the team and we are looking for a special individual to help with driving the supporting element of the service.
In addition to a DBS check, a police vetting check is required for this post. This is completed by Cambridgeshire Constabulary and is a thorough background and security screening which includes checks on Criminal Record and History, Financial Status, Personal Associations, Digital footprint and Residency.
The post holder will work as a part of a team that delivers support and services to individuals who are involved in the criminal justice system.
The post holder is primarily required to work in the community undertaking short term pieces of work with individuals referred to them by senior L&DS Practitioners.
The post holder is expected to support individuals attend first appointments for assessments by other services such as drug and alcohol services, community mental health teams, autism services, Housing, etc, referrals and social support.

1. To work with vulnerable children, young people and adults who have been in contact with the youth and criminal justice systems. The Liaison and Diversion Service supports these clients to access support and treatment on a range of vulnerabilities and divert them away from the youth and criminal justice services where appropriate. The service also provides information and advice to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate outcomes within the youth and criminal justice system together with maximising the opportunity to reduce reoffending.
2. Qualified practitioners will undertake screening and specialist assessments of vulnerable people in the court and police custody setting across Cambridgeshire. The support workers role will give practical support to clients to meet a range of short-term objectives. The support worker will undertake lone working in the community under the supervision of the Liaison and Diversion Practitioners on shift.
3. Examples of practical support in this role will be assisting a client to register with a GP or supporting a client with a first appointment to a referred partner agency.

8. To provide advocacy, practical support and to act as a voice for individuals who struggle to engage
