Duties
- Lead and supervise the farm shop team, fostering a positive and productive work environment through effective management and clear communication
- Oversee daily shop operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are maintained
- Drive sales through excellent customer service, upselling, and engaging with visitors to promote our products and farm initiatives
- Manage merchandising efforts by organizing displays, rotating stock, and ensuring product availability aligns with seasonal offerings
- Handle administrative tasks such as inventory control, sales reporting, staff scheduling, and maintaining accurate records
- Train staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, phone etiquette, and customer engagement to enhance overall service quality
- Coordinate with suppliers for stock replenishment and special orders while managing budget constraints effectively
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail or farm shop environments with a focus on team supervision and sales management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff toward shared goals
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual proficiency is highly desirable to serve diverse customers effectively
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising, inventory control, and administrative tasks
- Experience in supervising staff, managing schedules, and overseeing daily operations efficiently
- Knowledge of retail management principles including sales techniques, customer service excellence, and merchandising strategies
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with effective time management in a lively retail setting
- Previous experience in supervising or managing teams within a farm shop or similar retail environment is preferred
