Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Order Packer to join our warehouse team. This role involves efficiently preparing and packing orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, possess mechanical aptitude, and be capable of handling physical tasks such as heavy lifting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within a dynamic logistics environment.
Duties
- Select items from stock based on order specifications using warehouse management systems
- Pack products securely to prevent damage during transit, adhering to quality control standards
- Operate material handling equipment safely when required
- Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper documentation and tracking
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves and organising inventory efficiently
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including preparing shipping labels and documentation
- Conduct regular quality checks on packed orders to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, complying with health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse management, picking & packing, and stock organisation although full training provided.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely (up to 25kg or more)
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems for order.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and documentation requirements
- Strong attention to detail for quality control purposes
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure

Pay: £24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
