Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate a flatbed lorry for the transportation of goods to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by the company.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any client concerns professionally.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
- Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for flatbed operations.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance is an advantage.
- Previous experience with HIAB
