The Role
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Gas Assessor to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced gas professional who is passionate about maintaining industry standards and supporting learners through their qualifications.
You will be responsible for assessing candidates undertaking gas qualifications, ensuring compliance with awarding body standards, and promoting a safe and professional learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments for gas qualifications in line with industry standards
- Monitor and evaluate candidate competence in both practical and theoretical settings
- Provide constructive feedback and support to learners
- Maintain accurate assessment records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all internal quality assurance processes
- Uphold health, safety, and information security policies at all times
Requirements
- Current and valid gas qualifications (ACS or equivalent)
- Proven industry experience within the gas sector
- Commercial & Industrial experience (advantageous)
- Assessor qualification (e.g. TAQA, A1, or equivalent) – or willingness to work towards
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to high standards of safety and compliance
Desirable
- Previous experience in a training or assessment environment
- Knowledge of awarding body requirements
- Experience within renewables or emerging technologies
