We're launching a brand-new HiQ Tyres & Autocare franchise (backed by Goodyear) at our 7-ramp workshop with dedicated MOT bay in Welwyn Garden City. Part of the growing Reverie Autos Group, this is a chance to take a lead role in a modern, newly-equipped workshop from day one.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to run our day-to-day garage operation — managing the technician team, scheduling jobs, and driving workshop performance. This role comes with a genuinely high-earning commission structure tied directly to garage profit, on top of a competitive base salary.
What You'll Do
- Plan and allocate daily workflow across the technician team
- Oversee quality control and ensure work meets HiQ, Goodyear and MOT standards
- Manage customer-facing servicing/repair jobs — quotes, updates, handover
- Maximise ramp utilisation and workshop productivity
- Maintain health & safety and site compliance
- Manage parts/stock ordering and supplier relationships
- Report on performance and profitability to ownership
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Workshop Manager, Service Manager or similar in a busy automotive workshop or dealership
- Strong technical background (time-served technician experience a plus)
- Strong people management — able to get the best from a technician team
- MOT tester qualification a nice-to-have, not essential
- Great communication skills, customer-focused
- Full UK driving licence
