We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Quality Engineer to join our Quality team on site at our Manufacturing facility in Debden, Essex. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving our quality management systems and supporting customer requirements.
As a Quality Engineer, you will work closely with our operational teams to maintain and improve ISO9001 compliance, as well as support APQP activities and champion quality culture at all levels within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Support continued accreditation of Quality Management Certifications
- Support management, maintenance and development of the Company Business Operating System, procedures and documents as applicable
- Conduct internal and process audits to ensure adherence across documented procedures and manufacturing processes.
- Support job planning (APQP) tasks – Tech spec review, jobs bags, internal standards, FMEA, production hand-off, Control Plan
- Manage the supplier complaints process to ensure all supplier issues are recorded, SCAR raised and that supplier corrective actions are reviewed for their effectiveness.
- Support creation, development and maintenance of Process FMEA's, Control Plans, Gauge R & R
Lead assigned improvement activities using structured problem-solving techniques such as six sigma and 8D, etc.

Working hours : Day working shift – 37.5 hrs per week (08:00am – 4:00pm Mon - Fri)
Base location : Debden
Basic Salary: Starting salary of £46,062 per annum. Upon successful completion of a 6-month probation period, this will rise to £47,133 per annum.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant Degree or equivalent (ONC, HNC, BTec, NVQ) preferred
- Working knowledge and experience of ISO 9001 quality system
- Strong knowledge of quality processes, tools and methodologies
- Problem solving – 9 step/8D/5Y/CAPA tools experience
- Clear understanding of DFMEA / PFMEA
- Computer literate – MS Office, ERP systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Conflict management and negotiation skills
