Job Summary:
We are seeking a Leasing Consultant to join our team and assist with the leasing and management of our residential properties. The ideal candidate is a customer service-oriented individual with a strong background in sales and marketing. You will work closely with our property managers to maintain occupancy levels and ensure tenant satisfaction. The Leasing Consultant will be primarily responsible for leasing activities, developing marketing strategies, and providing exceptional customer service to potential and current tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct property tours and showcase available units to potential tenants
- Respond to inquiries and schedule appointments for property viewings
- Maintain thorough knowledge of property features and amenities and present them in an appealing manner to potential tenants
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract potential tenants
- Utilize advertising, social media, and other marketing platforms to promote available units
- Prepare and review lease agreements with potential tenants, ensuring all documents are properly completed and signed
- Conduct credit and background checks on potential tenants
- Coordinate move-ins and move-outs, ensuring all necessary documentation and payments are completed
- Build and maintain relationships with current tenants to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Respond to tenant inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Perform regular property inspections, addressing any maintenance or safety issues
- Attend and support community events and engage with local businesses to promote the property
- Conduct market research to stay informed of current rental trends and pricing strategies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, post-secondary education in business or real estate is an asset
- Minimum 1 year of experience in leasing, sales, or customer service
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with property management software is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Positive and professional attitude with exceptional customer service skills
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
