Who We Are:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a music focused post-16 Specialist Provider, supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged 16 - 25 year olds across our five bases in Earls Court, Wandsworth, Swanley, Canterbury and Brighton.
At SupaJam we use our students’ passion for contemporary music to ignite a love for education, and we champion achievement across our Music Practitioner, English, Maths and Life Skills syllabuses.
Our ethos is to be forward thinking, caring and encouraging whilst providing a structured, supportive and non-judgmental environment.
Working at SupaJam is unlike any other role in an education setting. Our young people have all struggled in life, and most have battled with often undiagnosed special educational needs. To be part of a company that challenges the status quo, goes the extra mile for all our young people whilst immersed in the music industry is often challenging, but always rewarding.
The Role:
The Careers Lead will be a key member of the SupaJam organisation, providing guidance to the students across our colleges.
To lead, develop and coordinate an inclusive careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) programme that supports learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to make informed decisions about their future education, training, employment and independent living pathways.
The Careers Lead will ensure the college meets statutory guidance, quality standards and best practice, while workingclosely with employers, families, support agencies and curriculum teams.
Important Information:
SupaJam is committed to diversity and inclusion, and we believe this helps us to be a more relevant and effective organisation.
All roles at SupaJam require DBS clearance and appropriate references and recruitment checks prior to joining. You will need to fill out an application form. SupaJam is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, background and recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS clearance and proof of eligibility to work in the UK. In line with KCSIE 2025 and safer recruitment practices, the College will conduct an online search for all shortlisted candidates. The online search is part of our safeguarding checks and will seek publicly available information on candidates’ suitability to work with children and young people.
If you are interested in the role please contact [email protected] and we'll send you a candidate pack and an application form. As we are an educational provider we can not accept CVs.
The deadline for requesting candidate packs is 5pm on the 15th July. We will not send out application packs after this point.
Good luck!
