We are looking for bar staff & baristas to join us and provide fantastic customer service and create a good vibe in our lovely taproom as well as at occasional external events. Shifts available between the following hours:
- Tue: 08.00 - 22.30
- Weds: 08.00 - 22.30
- Thurs: 08.00 - 22.30
- Fri: 08.00 - 23.00
- Sat: 08.00 - 23.00
- Sun: 09.00- 18.30 (ish - a bit later in the Summer!)
Main Duties Bar Team:
- Completing opening/closing checks and ensuring that the taproom is kept clean and tidy at all times
- Taking orders from customers and serving drinks
- Assisting and serving shop customers
- Taking card payments using our EPOS system (cashless bar)
- Glass collecting and washing
- Restocking as needed
- Basic cellar management (line cleaning, changing over cask/kegs etc)
- Serving from our mobile bar / event stand at external events (off site)
Main Duties Coffee Shop Team:
- Completing opening and closing checks and ensuring the venue is clean, tidy and welcoming at all times
- Taking customer orders and preparing a range of hot and cold drinks
- Preparing and serving coffee to a consistently high standard
- Assisting customers with food and counter service where required
- Taking card payments using our EPOS system
- Preparing and maintaining the coffee machine and other drinks equipment
- Washing cups, glasses and equipment and keeping the service area clean and organised
- Restocking coffee, milk, syrups, cups, food and other supplies as needed
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the café
- Checking stock levels and assisting with deliveries and stock rotation
- Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service and making recommendations where appropriate
About You:
- Over 18 years of age for bar work (serving)
- Positive, friendly attitude
- Please note - you must be able to make reliable transport arrangements to get to and from work.
- We will provide you with beer knowledge training - however a passion for Craft Beer is essential; a key aspect of this job is conveying this passion to our customers, as well as an ability to confidently talk about the different beers and make recommendations!
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
