Multi Trades Recruitment, working on behalf of our client, is looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to cover the Reading and Chiltern areas of England.
Pay Rate: £15.80 per hour
The Role
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of skips, ensuring all work is completed professionally and in line with relevant transport and health & safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out skip collections and deliveries across the Reading and Chiltern areas.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Ensure loads and equipment are handled safely and correctly.
- Follow drivers' hours, working time and road safety regulations.
- Complete required paperwork and delivery/collection records.
- Maintain good communication with the transport team and customers.
- Report any accidents, incidents or issues promptly.
- Keep the vehicle clean and in a safe, roadworthy condition.
- Work safely and professionally at all times.
Requirements
- Full HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience driving a skip vehicle is preferred.
- Waste, recycling, construction or similar industry experience is advantageous.
- Good understanding of road safety and drivers' hours regulations.
- Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
